The Beauty Of The Brownstone
Everyone knows New York City for it’s buildings. The Empire state building, Rockefeller Center, The Chrysler Building, and one of my all-time favourites, the Flat Iron building. When you look up at them these monumental structures stretch towards the sky as if to goon forever. Sure, they’re beautiful, but nothing compares to the beauty of the Brownstone’s in my opinion.
It was a chilly Autumn afternoon just after Halloween when I decided to pick up my camera and take a stroll through the upper westside in Manhattan. I’ve always loved these buildings and hoped one day to live in a house like them. However when you actually get to study them up close, you grow a new appreciation for just how amazingly detailed they are.
I’d only really associated them with Brooklyn until I started venturing out of the high rise areas in Manhattan. The fantastic thing aboutwalking around them that time of year is that most are decorated with cob webs with a pumpkin on every stoop.
