“Life In The City” coming in 2014
So if you’re a long time follower of mine you’ve probably already come to the conclusion that Shanna May likes New York City, just a little. What was supposed to be a one time trip back in September 2013, before moving on to explore other states, has transformed into a regular 8 week occurrence. Truth be told, I was done with the touristy side of this vast city as quickly as my first visit started and ended. Shopping in Times Square, trips up the Empire State building and getting ripped off by street vendors on every corner just really isn’t my scene, ya know?
I’m in New York for more than that. I’m there for the extremely diverse and charming groups of people that I seem to encounter on a daily basis and my personal experiences that stem from that. I seem to have a unique ability at instantly connecting with people 3,500 miles away whilst living a life of dissociation back home. My YouTube channel now boasts many various videos for “The Exploring Series” where I explore London, Scotland, Florida (Twice!),
California and of course, New York. Life in the city is a different thing entirely. Over the past three years I’ve not only travelled, but I’ve met people, interacted, made connections, gained friends, lost friends and experienced so much more than my little English town could ever offer. The friends I’ve made have become very important to me. I’ve spent the lead up to Christmas with them, celebrated birthdays and even spent easter with their families.
My camera has been with me the entire time capturing the moments that matter and this documentary will be fully finished and available early 2015.
This isn’t about exploring some city any more and filming it’s various attractions. It’s about my life there.
